NAND Flash devices use semiconductor technology that has a finite amount of data that can be written to the device, defined as the maximum usage limit, commonly referred to as "write endurance". Write Endurance — measured when performing 100% random writes of 4 KB across the entire SSD. Disk Writes per Day (DWPD) — The workload environment is based on 100% random 4 KB writes over five (5) years, which is the maximum amount of data that can be written to a device before the device’s write endurance limit is reached.
