The principle of operation of the Ajax MotionProtect security sensor

A directional pattern is formed in the controlled area, and the entire space is divided into sectors. As soon as human thermal radiation enters the sensor’s field of action, the lens focuses it on a sensitive element – a thermal PIR sensor and the information is transmitted to the micro center for analysis. If thermal radiation moves between sectors, the sensor understands that movement has occurred and transmits the alarm to the smart Hub central. At the same time, a software algorithm is used that takes into account many factors and environmental parameters in order to disable a false alarm. The Ajax MotionProtect kit includes a wireless motion sensor, SmartBracket mount, batteries, mounting kit and instructions. The range of the device in the room is up to 12 m. The body of the motion detector is protected by a tamper against unauthorized opening of the sensor. The range of communication with the center is up to 1700 m for open space, provided there is no interference. The signal range in the premises depends on the number of floors, the thickness of the wall material, as well as on the presence of sources of electromagnetic interference. If the coverage area is large and the sensor signal is not enough for stable reception, you can connect a repeater of the Rex signal.

Immunity to animals
The sensors use the Smart Detect software algorithm, which, when motion is detected, analyzes the shape of the infrared sensor signal and compares it with the values characteristic of human movement. Due to the fact that the size of the heat spot of the animal is small, the sensor does not raise the alarm.
The "always active" mode
is used in rooms requiring round-the-clock monitoring. The user will receive notifications about traffic violations, regardless of whether the system is secured or not.
Health testing
The Ajax MotionProtect motion sensor allows you to test important parameters. For example, a signal strength test, a detection zone test, and a signal fading test. Such testing allows you to install the sensor in a place with the best signal strength.
